Hockey New Zealand and our visiting international teams, USA and Japan, had a fantastic stay during the January Summer of Hockey tournament. The facilities were excellent, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and everything was well-organised, which made managing a busy tournament schedule much easier. We really appreciated the comfortable environment, restaurant-level catering and would happily stay again for future events.

For large scale conferences and events we are able to host these outside of the University calendar, typically from Mid-November through to mid-February.

Our onsite venues can host up to 250, and accommodation across both Knox and Salmond Colleges can sleep over 500. We can make most event formats work across our 12-acre site.
We have basic audio and visual equipment such as portable speakers. If you require a larger entertainment output, we recommend contracting one of the many amazing Audio-Visual suppliers here in Dunedin.
At Salmond, our ground level is accessible, which is where most of the event spaces is. We also have accessible bedrooms and bathrooms onsite.
Yes - In the past we have had intimate weddings of less than 10 people and also wedding groups of 100+. With a location for your ceremony, your reception and all catering handled onsite, Salmond is perfect for a wedding of any size!
Yes! We love Christmas festivities! Whether it is a Christmas lunch or a work Christmas party, we would love to host you to celebrate the holiday season.
